The continuous learning and professional development of teachers has been part of the Department of Education's (DepEd) advocacy in upgrading and upskilling mentor capabilities. In order to attain quality education for learners, teachers are expected to be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge relevant to their subjects and lessons. The implementation of Republic Act 10533, the "Enhanced Basic Education Act of 2013," has brought forth the DepEd to undertake steps to address the need to improve the continuous professional development of teachers. Alongside is the policy in Learning Action Cell (LAC) as the K to 12 Basic Education Program School-Based Continuing Professional Development Strategy for the improvement of teaching and learning. Pasong Buaya III ES teachers were equipped with training on G Suite for Education, Canva, Interactive Lesson presentation and other online educational resources on July 27 & 28, 2020 via google meet and zoom. Mabborang emphasized the uses of the G Suite education and demonstrated it in the group. He taught the teachers to plan the strategies on how to implement the programs of the Schools Division Office consistent with the objectives of their lessons. Follow-up activities were given on the second session of the training, Google Forms & Slides facilitated by Ma'am Nenita C. Teachers are collaboratively engaged in processes or activities on how to address the least mastered competencies to increase the proficiency level of the learners. LAC sessions can be conducted virtually or face-to-face in small groups following Inter-Agency Task Force health protocols on Covid-19. Aside from seminars, training, webinars, workshops and conferences, which have limited participation, LAC sessions keep teachers indigenize, localize or adopt resource materials in order to address the needs of the learners customized in their own setting. Teacher's engagement in the different collaborations has been a long time clamor and that their participation in LACs provide opportunities for learning and re-learning. Common understanding of educational goals, strategies, and solutions to problems need to be resolved so that the implementation of the projects and programs of DepEd will be achieved.
