Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation Nos. 224 and 227, s. 1988 and Republic Act. No. 6949 declaring the first week of March each year as Women's Rights and International Peace Day, PB III ES joints the nation in observing the National Women's Month Celebration (NWMC) with a theme "We Make Change for Women" from March 1-31, 2021.
The 2021 National Women's serves as a tribute, a platform, and a call to action that highlights the extraordinary roles of ordinary Juanas in the society as trailblazers and harbingers of change. This celebration is also a venue to discuss and address the issues that women continue to face so empowerment can be fully achieved, inform and engage women as stakeholders of government programs and services - to promote citizen-centric governance and make "change" a conscious effort to know, understand, and provide what ALL citizens need. The campaign is also a call for concrete, sustainable, and inclusive actions towards gender equality.
In this lieu, Pasong Buaya III teaching & non-teaching staff together with Ma'am Alona Olea Verdadprincipal II, conduct Zumbathon every Monday in their respected classrooms. This aims to promote the wellness and the welfare of every woman. They also wear anything purple on all the Mondays of March or even color hoods with purple to signify support for women’s empowerment and gender equality.
"Kumusta Ka, Juana?", is video that inspires and empowers women and girls to be agents of change-to contribute in promoting gender equality and empowerment of all women.
