July is National Disaster Resilience Month! Executive Order No. 29 signed on June 28, 2017, mandates the observance of National Disaster Resilience Month (NDRM) "throughout the country through the conduct of activities relative to the building of disaster resilience covering the four thematic areas: prevention and mitigation, preparedness, response and rehabilitation, and recovery." This year's observance theme is "𝑻𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝑷𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒂'𝒕 𝑲𝒂𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒂𝒏, 𝑲𝒂𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒏 𝒂𝒕 𝑷𝒂𝒈𝒕𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒍𝒖𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒏 𝒔𝒂 𝑺𝒂𝒌𝒖𝒏𝒂 𝒂𝒕 𝑷𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒎𝒚𝒂'𝒚 𝑲𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒂𝒈 𝒏𝒈 𝑩𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒏". In reference to the aforementioned Executive Order, Pasong Buaya III Elementary School through Division of Imus City SDS Dr. Rosemarie D. Torres and ASDS Sir Brian L. Inductivo, in coordination with SDRRM Coordinator Sir Arvin M. Paez, discussed the lineup of activities for July 2021 as we observe the National Disaster Resilience Month. As a start, PBIII ES teaching and non-teaching staff enjoyed the Kahoot activity facilitated by Sir Arvin with the presence of our supportive principal Ma'am Alona Olea Verdad. This has helped the participants p to adopt a disaster risk reduction and management approach that is holistic, comprehensive, integrated, and proactive in lessening the socioeconomic and environmental impacts of disasters, including climate change, and promote the involvement and participation of all sectors and all stakeholders concerned, at all levels, especially the local community.
